Every morning

have called twice this week and received a poorly constructed letter saying i am due HMRC money called HMRC they said any unrecovered tax would be claimed through my PAYE. So not sure how this company got my details would say this is a scam. If in doubt check your PAYE accounts people

They said they were HMRC, they would like to check personal data for security. But no reason for calling. Sounds like scam call

I had a suspicious text message purporting to be from a company called Avantis who were now managing my HM Revenue & Customs a/c. They gave a telephone number 01782 35 44 07 and a ref number. I googled Avantis which appeared to be a professional website for a debt collection company. Their telephone number was 01782 401100. I called them to see if I could find out anything about them. I gave the ref no. but as I wouldn’t give my details they said they couldn’t discuss the details with me. They said they would write to me. I’m 100% sure this is a scam but will be interested to see what comes in the post!

A Message from Advantis - claiming to have taken over my HM Revenue account... utter rubbish!!

They phone twice a day while I am at work, asking for payment for something that has been paid in full. They say that if you phone back they will ask you security questions to check your identity. I don't want to answer security questions from a company who are asking for money that i know for a fact has been paid so I can't help them out by advising that it has been paid. They may be a scam or they may be an actual company with inaccurate info.

The same message has been sent to my phone twice with a week's interval in between. Definitely a scam, I will block the number now.

No one spoke so I put the phone down

I’ve started screening incoming calls on my phone. The transcribe said “ This is a message from Atlantic. Please ring us back on 01782971403. Number again. 01786 971403. Thank you.” I have no idea who they are and what they want so I’m going to block it.
