The guy said he was from Vodafone. I went along with it for as long as possible because that's the way to really hit them. Hopefully they will be caught, surely it can be traced?
Got a call today claiming to be O2 offering 40% discount on monthly tariff. Sent ‘OTAC’ text which clearly states ‘NEVER SHARE THIS CODE’ when told the guy that he started to make excuses, but we said goodbye and hung up. Reported to O2 and blocked the number. Very convincing but too good to be true!!
Caller wanted to know about the accident I had last year
Hi. If you get a call again from this number or any other scammers please do your best to pretend to be interested and ask questions. Never give out personal information, not even email. Waste as much of their time as possible. They will not thank you for it haha! Just like my recent experience... the guy started swearing at me and accused me of wasting his time! lol I'm so glad I did ☺️
Caller claimed to be from 02 offering me, as a valued customer, a 50% reduction on my monthly bill along with an upgrade to unlimited data and calls. I listened to their chat for a little bit and then said right thankyou and hung up. They have since rung me back several times insisting this is a bona fide offer and not a scam and that they will implement the reduction - all I have to do is agree, nothing further to do. As O2 have just put my bill up by the best part of 15% I think that's highly unlikely.... I did not give them any details, but the whole thing has left me feeling very uneasy.
I answered call quickly, but nobody on the other end. As I was driving at the time I wasn't aware it was potential spam. Just checked my call logs on my mobile & it's telling me it is suspected spam.
Claimed to be Currys/ PC World asking for my email address, refused to provide and asked to remove my number from their database and they refused.
Came up on my phone as suspected spam. I did answer but didn't speak, caller hung up immediately. Same number called again just a few minutes later & again hung up
