It's a scam, don't fall for it

Company phoned and said I was due a PPI compensation claim from a mortgage I had previously paid off. I was put through to their accounts department who wanted bank account details for the payment to be made to. I didn't have them to hand and decided to check online as to whether or not it was a scam They have just phone back but I didn't answer the phone assuming they would leave a message on the answerphone if genuine. No message left - still inconclusive as to whether it was genuine or not. Callers were both of Asian background.
