Said they were call from Surrey and South East Water and the cover on my drainage and plumbing had expired. When I told them my drainage and plumbing insurance wasn't with them, they hung up.

They told me that they were partnering Yorkshire Water and that my insurance cover on pipes and drains had run out. I said that I didn’t have any but they insisted that I had taken it out three years ago. I said that it must have been the sewer fairy so I would wait for her to renew it.

They said my drain and plumbing cover was about to expire and I should renew at a discounted rate. I checked immediately afterwards and I have no such existing cover. They said they were calling from Thames Water. They are liars.

They said that I had taken out a contract with Southern Water in 2022- i guess to get me to buy something or give details. However, i have never taken out a contract, when i told them this they told me i was wrong (I know this because I had a leak outside and had to pay a fortune). I forcefully reiterated I didn't, at which he said ok we'll cancel your contract and hung up on me. I am very wary as Southern Water had a data breach in Jan '23. My instinct tells me that this is a scam.
