Called today. No message. I don't know anyone in Church Stretton. Presume is spam.
Called 13:15 on 4th January 2024 claiming to be from British Gas. At one point they said they just needed my sort code to release the service agreement. I said I absolutely would not do this and they immediately hung up. Most definitely a phishing call.
Called 12:58 on 4th January 2024. Claimed to be from British Gas. Knew my address. They wanted to send me a copy of my BG service agreement but they needed my sort code. I hung up. They called back straight away and continued the conversation. I explained to them, that they didn't need my details, to remove this number from their database and if they called again I would be reporting them.
This number called my landline before 8am today. Told me they were British Gas and asked if I had been happy with my boiler service. Told me I had contract with them and said there was now a free toll number for me to ring if I needed to contact them with any boiler problem. Told them I didn't have contract with Br.Gas and they rang off.
Called at 7:45am, causing concern at who calls at that hour?! Did not leave a message. Don't know anyone in Church Stretton area so assume spam.
Caller knew my name and said they were from British gas . I was asked if my gas boiler was ok? I am signed up with the telephone preference service so if this was British gas they should not be calling. I assume it was from a scam centre outside the UK , the caller had a strong accent.
Looking for someone called Valerie and they were aggressive with me when I obviously said I wasn’t them
