01683 333017 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

Called today apparently from HMRC recorded message to say I have committed Tax Fraud and will be arrested if I don’t press 1 to speak to an agent, didn’t as it’s obviously a scam.

I did Not answered the Call which was not known to me, I've checked the number on the internet which I was glad to do and read the feedback So I've decided to Block the Number Concerned.

Did not say anything. 3 random calls like this today

missed call from this number. no message. thanks for all the reporting. I can now block it.

Thanks to you all because of your comments, I was able to tell my daughter not to bother responding as she is off to uni and thought it might have been a missed call from them. Really helpful when people let others know these things are still happening!

Called saying from EE saying can offer a better deal on a my current phone. Told him not on EE they apologised and hung up. Now on the block list!

Received a call from this number and they were pretending to be Three mobile. Its some form of scam call and they are quite aggressive.

Called saying he was from a phone company with a promotion. I asked him to remove my phone number from whatever list he was using, he said “no I am from all phone companies calling with promotions”. He refused to tell me where he had sourced my number or that he would stop calling so another block and delete!

Called saying from EDF and wanted to install my smart meter, I’m not with EDF and I already have a smart meter..

This number rang I picked up then they hung up

From three asked what they selling and they then hung up 😂

The number called me 5 times over two days. No one speaks when I pick up.

Claiming to be from BT... I asked if he wanted to try again and he actually tried Virgin then he got very angry as I couldn't stop myself laughing that he actually tried again!

Another number from the same are rang twice over a day with no voice message so I blocked it. Looked it up and seems to be the same as this total chancers. I will say from looking at various calls they get very angry and swear if you simply ask if that’s there genuine name…. Once they have sworn you are guaranteed they aren’t genuine so can block…. Basically the best option is to not answer and check on one of these sites.

Just had a call from this number - didn't answer it because I don't if its an unrecognised number. What is really strange is I don't tell anyone I have a mobile and don't give out the number, so how did they get my mobile number? Obviously some sort of scam.
