As above. Not a NatWest customer so I ignored the text. Very convincing text though!
Same as the others above- got a strange text about a supposed payment. It has a reference number. After I gave it to them they started to ask many personal details- hung up and called my bank directly. As expected it is a fraud.
This is 100% genuine. I was contacted with requests for information regarding my Natwest/Ulster Bank account. I put the phone down and went to my local branch. They looked at my account on the computer and said, yes, the number is genuine and, yes, they have been trying to contact myself.
Received two texts from this number and ignored as l thought it was a scam. Then a phone call, an email and another text. So l called Natwest. At first they said it WAS a scam but then said it was genuine and they "aren't sure why l was contacted this way" lt was because l had sent a small gift to my nephew's bank account in the Netherlands. lf you get a text from this number l would still say, do not reply or call the number, or click on any links etc. Call your bank on their regular number and deal with it that way.
Had exactly the same, text and then call from withheld number, but claiming to be from Natwest
This is a genuine number used by RBS/NatWest - I went through their number published on their website and the details in the text were correct.
Someone sent me an email claiming to be from NatWest and they sent me this email, it is a scam pls don’t fall for it
The caller left a text message on my mobile phone pretending to be from the Natwest asking about a recent bank transaction unspecified, and inviting me to call 01670 552068
*** Scam! Beware *** They send a text requesting a call back on this number. Claimed to be from NatWest Bank. They called my mobile phone shortly afterwards. I said I'd call my bank directly myself and I hung up. I made another outbound call to a family member to clear the phone line. Then I called my bank on their usual telephone banking number who said it wasn't from them and that's not their phone number.
Claimed to be from Nat West regarding a payment. SCAM
Claiming to be Natwest , sent text also ref Payment , checked with Bank, clearly a Scam
For sure its a scam. I got an email askig me to ring this number. I am a NatWest customer
Received an email apparently from Natwest but did not see it until Saturday morning so unable to contact Natwest direct as only open Monday to Friday Call is supposed to be about a payment I made and information needed
Possible bank scam claims to be from Royal bank of Scotland. Texted first saying they want to talk about a payment and that I will receive a phone call from a private number. I f I don't receive the call to call on this number. I ignored the call and received an email saying same.
