On returning the call it’s says callers are being screened by a call blocking service

Thursday 14 March, 10:38. 01643821455. Male with mild foreign accent (possibly East Asian) said "calling from BT about your broadband, ok?" Why would they say "ok?" Of course it is not ok! I said firmly, "please stop calling me with calls like this, it's silly." Then I hung up and blocked the number.
