Called saying he represented BT and could save me 40% of my landline bills......suffice to say I ended the call! Total scam artists.

Told me he was the wholesaler for Openreach. Not trying to sell me anything but wanted to talk about our rates with BT. When challenged (as we are not with BT) he quickly hung up. Always ask questions - people phoning out of the blue not wanting to give a company name are up to no good.

got a call from this number today, he asked to speak to BT account holder, when I asked him why he was calling a mobile number if he was from BT he immediately said "my bad, my bad, I'll take you off our systems now" and hung up. Dodgy as Dodge City.
