Came up as potential scam so ignored it. Same number called back a minute later not flagged as potential scam. Still ignored it. No message left by caller so clearly not an important call.

let number go to answerphone, called the number back from a landline and an american recorded voice said the number was not recognised please try again. SCAM all day long

Scumbags trying to get you to say "yes" as part of a larger identity theft scam. You can always tell this because it's a good quality line for recording you voice and they nearly always ask "can you hear me?" in order to record you saying "yes".

Tried calling back with my number withheld and it just beeped and didn't ring, so I'm thinking it's a scam
