First call claimed to be O2 offering the fake 40% off airtime. I know this is fraud because I work for O2. Second claimed to be PC World. Both calls reported to Action Fraud and numbers blocked.
Foreign accent, unclear. Appeared to be saying she was calling from Carphone Warehouse. She could not tell me my own name. I asked her to remove my number from her list.
Pretending to be 02
My phone automatically suggests if a number is a fraud. No message left, though callers are told to gp away if a scam call!
Said it was curry’s PC world
Said then from 02,MY mobile provider (is not). Send me a text code 3 times adamant it has been sent and for me to provide it to him for the 40% discount on my account. He warned he tried for 6 minutes until I suggested he used my email (I didn't provide him with the details). Now blocked number for me.
Call made, I answered then phone hung up!
