Long pause before the same Essex accented lady that rang my landline last week said she "Hi, I'm your area energy advisor", long pause" Are you the home owner there?" When I asked who she was ringing from, she insistently repeated "Are you the homeowner there".So again, I put the phone down. Last week she rattled on about doing energy saving work in the attic. At this point she was rattling on so fast the other energy saving plans she was trying to explain, became merged into non-sense, punctuated by " energy saving" a few times, and are you the home owner there" or "You are the home owner there then", before I put the phone down. My number is "telephone preference service" so how are these scammers managing to circumnavigate the system.
