Said they were calling from "N U" about an electricity meter notification and gave our company CEO's name (which anyone could aquire using Company's House website) Couldn't tell me what energy company we used or nature of the notification. Told her she could speak to me and when she asked for my name I told her I couldn't give it due to GDPR. Then I hung up!!
Said they were calling from "N U" about an electricity meter notification? They couldn't provide any information due to GDPR, this even included the ending to the relevant meter number. They asked how many sites we have as they didn't have this on file, which an energy supplier should or would know if genuine, and to top it off, had no email or contact number for the person who deals with the account. When requested, they couldn't provide an email address or a number that we could pass on to the relevant person either.
Cold caller selling electricity - quite rude and would not get the polite no not interested.
