Cold called from 0151 958 0048 said they were from NCS Legal and knew my name. Said I hadn't been paid out for a NON EXISTANT road traffic accident I told them I was blocking their number and to take my number off the database as it was a phishing scam

I am called by this number at least once every day. I am reporting it to the police as harassment.

got a call from this number literally moments ago, the area code wasnt from around here but i answered since im on a job hunt, there was nothing from the other end and they hung up within seconds.

Called on a few occasions, first time they were talking about an accident that I'd never had... And the other two times they have hung up after 3 seconds.

Sick of these people calling me telling me it's not a sales call, it's about an accident I what's in last two years blah blah blah! Keep telling them that they're liars and not to ring back.. Really annoying now! Grrr!

Have received a silent call from this number at 13.30 today.

Just got a call from this number 01519580048, never answered as I didn't recognise the number, as I stay in Scotland I knew it was from Manchester ( don't know anyone from there) so once checking on this website and as the call came to my iPhone I blocked the number... Getting more and more frequent these dam calls the government should do more about it if they are coming from legitimate companies

Several calls advising that they are helping with your (non-existent) motor claim. When prompted for details they cite data protection. Utterly annoying and worrying where they get the personal details from? As others have said, they advise they will delete you from their files, but keep calling - what is their game!

Same happening to me with this number, as others have reported, no one there when I called back.

I have received a call from this number (I ignored this one), and previously a with held number stupidly I took the call and could hear laughter in the background blatent call centre attitide from the caller, the thing is they asked for my daughter, now the phone contract is in my daughters name, but I own the phone pay the bill etcs, so the only people who know this are the network provider, in my case O2, so all these people wondering how these scammers are getting our personal details should question whether your provider is selling the information on, needless to say I will be contacting O2 about our personal information protection.

Yep, "Nationwide Insurance" asking why I'd not claimed for a road traffic accident I'd had in the last 3 years. "Quite simply as I've not had one, goodbye..."

Called today (13/07/15) knew my name, said that a record had been given to them and compensation has not been claimed. I explained I hadn't been driving that long. They asked if it was someone else in the house. I said no. They agreed to update the database and remove my details. We'll have to wait and see if they do.

Had a missed call from them couldn't ring back but worring as I have had an acident and had just been on the phone to my solicitors about this. I just ignored it and wen through my own solicitors to be on the safe side.

Accident claims "service". - Didn't know my name - Had the typical "we've received a file that shows you've had an accident in the last 3 years" - And "Has anyone else in your family had an accident"

These people do not leave me alone!!! Constantly ringing, sometimes pretty late in the day. I wish they'd leave me alone.

Scam phone number by a group of ambulance chasers. Nationwide

same as many before, asked where my data came from and was referred to google "the panel of UK insurers" which doesn't exist.

Accident claim thing, I asked how they got my number as only 3 of my closest friends, my family and the C.S.A have ever been given my mobile number and they swore I'd given them my number when making a claim. I'm wondering if they could have either got my number from it being linked for security to my facebook account or did they get the number from the government, those are the only explainations for them knowing my name as well.

I get regular calls from this number. The girls said she was calling about a traffic accident I'd had recently, so I asked her which car I was in at the time and was met with the response "I'm sorry we don't have that information."... so I asked how she knew I'd been in an accident but didnt have the registration of the car I was in. She hung up. I haven't even been in a traffic accident. Blocked the number. They called again on a withheld number. Can't block unknown callers on iPhone, the spam continues.

I am getting calls from this number on a daily basis. Thanks to all the previous comments I am ignoring them. Am still trying to work out a way of blocking them!

They called me by name, Nationwide Insurance. Asking about my car accidents. I don't drive you egit.. I have been getting these nuisance calls, I barred them.

Second call from this number recently. Said I'd been in a car accident or maybe someone in my house had and I was in the car. I said no (again) and that I would remember that. Worrying as he knew my first and last name.

Got a call from this number saying they represented Nationwide Insurance and I had an accident which wasn't settled. I told them it was rubbish and told them to not call again. Hope they do call really because I'm ready with a trick my father taught me! His hearing will never be the same again..........

Got a call from 0151 958 0048 claiming to be from nationwide about a recent car incidence. Kind of caught me off as I have accounts with nationwide but I hadn't had a car accident at all, so I told him I thought it was a scam and he hung up. It sounded like he was in a call centre, this guy needs to be caught and put away because it's clearly illegal and I hope no one gets scammed by him.

My daughter had a call just now asking for me. They knew my name. Bearing in mind this is my daughters phone (contract in my name) with the number never ever being connected to me other than with O2 it must be them passing my details on. Especially as they are the only company to have my bill in the name Chris everything else in my life is Christopher. Holding for O2 as I type this to give them a piece of my mind.

I had a call from this number this evening. I didn't answer as I've had 2 or 3 calls recently saying they're ringing about my car accident claim - which is just rubbish. Very annoying how they've got my details.

Had a call from them this evening, Claiming to be Nationwide about my car accident 3 years ago. I explained there wasn't one, Then they asked if I had an accident in the home!!!! Told them to foxtrot Oscar... Added number to never ending blocked list!!! How did they get my name?? 👀

This phone number and another has repeatedly called me in the past few months claiming ive been involved in a Road traffic accident I have no idea how they have gotten my number but it is so frustrating ive told them numerous times that I haven't and to stop calling me. I've also tried to be polite and ask nicely, but do they listen? No! Today another one rang me and was asking for my sister! I said no you have the wrong number. They obviously operate in the Merseyside area and need to stop getting our numbers and info illegally!

They've just called me for 2nd time in 6 weeks. A women called Kellsy was on the line. I asked for her surname, which she was'nt happy with at all. She demanded to know why I wanted her surname. I've checked companies house and Nationwide Claims Direct have been dissolved twice. The current incarnation has been operatiing since Aug 2014. The women asked the same question as above and as soon as I said no to having made zero claims she was off the phone like a shot. I called Nationwide and they said it was nothing to do with them and is a phishing scam. Do not give these people info. Frustrating when they have my name and no.

They get notified or can purchase lists of accident claimers, whether it be an accident claim or not they will call you to see about doing a "fraudulent" accident claim for you. Shysters who I am sure are working on the boundaries of the law but you know what, if its legal its legal. Just like Starbucks paying no tax is legal, its not these companies faults if they are abusing broken laws!

I just got a call from these claiming i had an accident! Ive been driving 7 years and never had one.when i told her this she said "oh it says you have on our database..." i will take you off our database in future!" How did they know my name? Whats worrying is some pple may fall for it! How do we stop this!

Received a call from this number saying they were Nationwide claims and that I'd be involved in an accident in last two years, when I said no the lady asked if it could be anyone else in the household, when I said the household was me she hung up. Tried call back but deadline. Concerned that they knew my name so not where they got it from as I don't have anything to do with Nationwide. Obviously a scam. 0151 958 0048 - avoid this number!

Got a call from this number which I didn't answer, then got a call from a withheld number from an insurance company asking if I had had a car accident in the past three years. I had already looked at this site the previous day so told him I don't own a car (a lie) and that I had been made aware of people calling with info such as that he has just given me who are fakes/scammers. Man started to get aggressive, asking how I knew it was that number as he was calling from a withheld number, so I wished him a good day and hung up. Scary because he did know my name.

I received a missed call from this number. They didn't leave a message and I couldn't call them back. Googled the number and looks like some sort of scam. I hope they call back, I'll give them a reason to block my number in the future.

Called me today and said they had information about an accident I'd had. Knew my name. Only changed my mobile number about 6 months ago as kept getting these calls. Curious to think where they have got my new one from. Especially knowing my name too. Hopefully I won't now get bombarded.

Had this call this morning, said I had been in an accident in the last few years and that my 'file' had been handed to her to deal with. I told her I hadn't been in any accident ever and she insisted that my details wouldn't be on their system for no reason. Absolutely ridiculous! The. She proceeded to try and get my family members details from me to see if they had been in a recent accident!

NCD call centre claiming to have a 'file' with information about a car accident I was involved in and I may be eligible for compensation. Total rubbish, never been involved in an accident. I just hung up.

I just had a call from 'NC Legal' I was actually involved in an accident recently ( a passenger ) but not sure how they got my full name and mobile number. Very creepy... She told me they were an 'after care' service and wanted to find out more about the accident, which threw me off as i thought it had something to do with my partners insurance. So i told her i don't need assistance. She then went on to tell me there are things they can claim for as a passenger, to which i told her i'm not interested. How do they get this information?!

Called me just now saying they've been handed a file about an accident in the road in the last 3 years, when I said I hadn't she asked was I point of contact or had a trip or a fall instead, again I told her I hadn't. She then said she was going to close the file and that I wouldn't be able to claim anything. I asked her where she got my name and number from she said it was given by the "UK Panel of Insurance" and she said to Google that and it would give me a number to call. Low and behold, when Googled it doesn't exist. Scam number.

I just received a call from these guys too. A lot of scam numbers ring up to check if the phone is active and once the find out it is they can then advertise and send you links, calls and texts etc. I'd advice not to pick it up

After a few times this number just hanging up on me I had checked this site to see who called. They have just called me now and spoke when I answered, after asking 3 times who was calling because they garble the name it was Nationwide and they were following up a road incident I was involved in, when I said no he asked if it could be a family member then. I told him he was talking a load of rubbish and he gave a half laugh and hung up.

I gave her some abuse, they knew my name and I have no accounts with Nationwide. When I tried to call back the line went dead.

Called on my mobile from this number. Due to poor reception got no further than to hear "Nationwide Claims" and eventually that she would ring me back. No further call received. Tried to ring the number twice but to be informed (automated answer) that I was unable to connect to the number. Interesting that this call was received just days after taking out Home Insurance with Nationwide. Contacted Nationwide Helpline but they were unable to assist. Will be very disappointed if I should find that this is linked to Nationwide Insurance in anyway!

They said they were from Nationwide insurance. Was told this wasn't a sales call then was asked several questions about a non-existant car accident they told me I had had. I refused to give them any details but the worrying thing is that they knew my name. Tried to ring the number back but it wouldn't connect. avoid answering this number at all costs.
