Caller said they were a life insurance company calling to renew my policy as my policy was about to expire. I do not have a life insurance. Caller said he made a mistake and wanted to offer me an insurance policy, caller knew my name and telephone number but did not appear to have any other details. Caller claimed they got my details from my bank when I got my mortgage. I have repeatedly asked for the name of the company, I was told the company is called HYPE and to search it on TrustPilot which I did. I find very odd that I couldn’t find anything on Google when typing "HYPE LIFE INSURANCE". On TrustPilot, I have found a link to a website in Italian. Very likely a scam.
Said wanted to speak to Director. wanted to find out if we had received life insurance renewal, but when asked which policy he did not know - just kept saying life insurance
Trying to sell me life insurance, extremely loud in background, fumbling over own words didn’t know what she was saying
Call today 20/4/16, said they were from Barclays bank and to call my manager Judith Campbell Ardent on 01513759391, quoting a reference number! Obviously not Barclays as they don't have managers any more!
Several messages for my wife to call "her account manager" Paul Jones at Ardent. Left the number 0151 375 9391. We have no account with any business called Ardent.
A message and call I got from this number saying they were from Vodafone and to call Andy Stanton quoting ref 1105263 I rang from land line withholding no. and they answered DRS
Chap wanted my partner and said he was from Ardent. Would only leave a phone number as he said it was about a 'personal' matter. Suffice it to say I googled the number and found lots of messages about this being a scam.
