As I did not recognise the number, didn't answer. No message was left. I suspect a scam from reading previous comments.
Claimed to be calling from my central heating maintainer, I asked the company name, they stated F4H. I said I’d never heard of them, they put the phone down.
Foreign man who knew my name. Lots of background noise as though ringing from call centre. Hung up
Non-native English speaker who addressed me by name and said he was calling about my boiler and central heating protection plan and seemed confused when I told him I was a council tenant so did not need such a plan, but he did then apologise for disturbing me before hanging up. Inclined to think these are cold-calling telemarketers rather than outright scammers.
Male foreign caller asked for my wife by name. Said something about gas boiler and central heating. My wife said ours was fine and hung up.
Told her I didn’t have a washing machine and still used washing tub!
Lady with an Indian accent called today, said her name was Jennifer and she was calling from a company called Home Help. She was trying to sell an SOS button for anyone over the age of 50 with health issues. I asked for a number to call her back on and she gave me: 01224 607 119. When I asked her where she got my number from, she hung up.
Called last Friday whilst out. Failed the call blocker request for name announcement. Unknown number so assuming spam of some kind!
Claimed to be from Home Appliance Services about the warranty on the washing machine. I asked them to send a letter out (I like having things in writing), but she put me through to the supervisor who asked about bank details. I repeated a few times that they could send a letter and eventually told her that I am getting very suspicious and hung up.
This number called me. I guessed immediately that it was a scam call by the number. I answered hello and the person replied hello and then hung up. I could hear a lot of background noise of talking.
