Asked for me by name saying our charity had a rebate. Indian accent but English name.
Received a voicemail from "Veronica" (no company name given) on this number asking me to call her back on 0141 724 0715 (Glasgow) about energy contract renewals. Clearly using a spoofed number to make the call look local.
Called asking to speak to the business manager who left 7 years ago. When I asked what they wanted they put the phone down. Indian accent but said name was Sarah.
Same approach, Saira person called. No company named in call so no identifying info which is the least you would expect for a legit company calling you, so suspect a scam
called and left a voice mail asking to speak to the treasurer of the village hall, I used to be treasurer of a few years ago. the caller has an Indian accent but gave a common English name (Karen) in this case. In recent weeks I have had many of these calls, all leaving voicemails, all Indian sounding and all gave a common English name (I've had Emma, Anna, Helen, Tom, Jack) and they all come from different numbers. I've had spates of these previously and discovered on here that they were a energy supplier scam and had access to personal contact details from the charities commission website for the charity's main contact
