Purported to be from Virgin Broadband, when I said I didn't have Virgin he said that they also deal with Sky, EE, BT etc. I laughed and hung up.
Lady called, spoke quite good English, and said that she was going to refund £119 which had been taken for washing machine insurance. I don't have such insurance, and she hung up when I said that the call was a hoax.
Caller stated my BT Broadband was due for renewal.I hung up as I don't have BT
Claimed it was about a 'refund for the warranty' on my washing machine, cited a specific amount (£119, I think), but rang off when told I do not have a warranty. Presumably trying to get bank details. Dangerous.
Caller states there is a refund off £119 on my insurance on my washing machine. Not even insured.
Phoned to say I was owed a rebate from overcharged appliance insurance.Wouldn,t put my rebate in the post. Wanted my bank details with my consent. Told him to keep the £119 pounds for himself and blocked his number.
Without a doubt, yet another scam! Indian call centre that gets through using a UK telephone number. Wanted to talk about our internet connection that we have with BT - except that we don't have internet with BT and we have seen far too many of these scam artists at work to engage. I have logged this also on other sites where the same number is reported to trying other tactics such as Amazon (is that not a bit old now) and life insurance. On one site alone there were 359 posts from this morning alone about that same number waiting to go on the board to warn others. Do not engage with them and please do warn anyone potentially vulnerable to these types of calls.
Called waited 30 seconds with no response then they cut the call Nuisance caller.
Bloody nuisance. Asking for a Mrs Roberts. Fed up with getting calls asking for someone I’ve never heard of. Happened several times in the past few days and I am afraid I resorted to shouting at them.
Woman didn’t give our name when asked who she was calling. We hung up! Apparently this number has been linked to a “Washing Machine Rebate” Scam!
Scam designed to get your banking details, disguised as giving a refund.
Claiming to be from Virgin media but something didn’t feel right about the way the person was speaking
Called at 0900 and I recognised that this was from a similar number to other scam calls I’ve received so I blocked it without bothering to answer. As I’m on the Telephone Preference List they should not be calling me anyway !
calls phone rings never leaves a message drops the call - possible scammer definite time waster blocked
They called to say there’s a problem with my BT broadband. I do not have BT broadband Avoid this number.
Rang twice and then rang off. Bloody annoying.

Silence when I picked up
One call, phishing. Pretended to be Apple security trying to investigate a supposed attempt to loot my bank account.
Keep calling me at 11:16 at night repeating numbers in voicemail
Received a weird voice mail saying hello how are you - didn’t sound real Spam - don’t answer and block
Picked up and not a sound was heard. When I said hello they hung up.
