Indian lady called claiming to be from the Virgin Media technical team. Started by asking what colour is showing on Modem. Then asked me to login to Chrome to check internet speed. Then asked me to type in a code which loaded a ‘Go Daddy’ page. Refused to type in my personal information. She tried to transfer my call to her colleague- call terminated!!
My wife answered and an Indian guy said he was from Virgin Media and they had an alert that we had a problem with our router. He asked her to get her mobile and type a message that he would give her into the browser. She asked what this would do and he said it would help him to sort problem. She said there was nothing from her phone which would help, adding that she knew this because she worked for Virgin Media. He put the phone down. This No has now been logged with the Virgin Tech team and is being investigated
Called, said "Hello", caller put the phone down.

Had a call from "Virgin Media Tech Team" told me I had issues with my broadband - asked me to log onto a laptop and if my issue persists then they would send an engineer - queried why they had not taken me through security and asked them to confirm my address?.. they didnt like this, told them they are a scam as they are calling from an Alton number and they wouldnt discuss my account without passing me through security, he told me to F*ck off and hung up - well, guess he wasnt part of the tech team :-)
