Nuisance call from scammers

I'm insured with aviva as well and been getting calls from this company for months

I've just received a call from this number.being from brechin myself I saw the local code and answered.guy spoke with an English accent which I stuggled to understand but did hear him saying Id been in an accident (which I havent) how do u stop these calls?

As above. Interesting to read the Aviva quote above. I'm with Aviva. If they've been giving my number out I won't be happy.

My number was illegally obtained by someone from Aviva and sold to a third party. They are a Scottish company from Brechin dealing with whiplash claims etc.

Caller said they were calling from Something or other Legal firm about an Accident I'd been involved in. They said my name was on a database because I'd had an Accident. I said I haven't. He said maybe you've had an Accident at work then. I said no. He burst out laughing, said to his friend who was also laughing that he can't continue and then hung up. If they are Phishing for claims then they aren't very good at it.

wanted to speak to partner re car accident he may have been involved in. I told him that I thought he was lying and hung up. It appears they are a no win no fee solicitor. He had called 1 minute earlier and hung up. There was also a delay before he spoke the second time. i am registed with tps.
