I received a call from another number a few days ago purporting to be from O2. They received a short response but persisted in insisting they were my mobile phone service provider, and after some rather earthy language from me said they would never personally call me again, but someone senior would definitely be calling me back to discuss how I'd spoken to them. Today, I received that call, from a woman purporting to be a senior manager from 02 wanting to reassure me that the previous call was genuine. She got the same response as her scamming colleague.
