This is a really nasty scam. They say they are from EE and you need a new SIM card to enable 5g. EE Customers do not need new SIM's from EE. Check their site or speak to them. The scam is to hack your EE account by using multi factor authentication. They use your number they called and a PIN you get sent from EE. This gets them into your account to steal your information. Then they request a port of your number to their SIM which enables them to hack your email and/or other accounts. Please DO NOT give them the PIN. EE will NEVER ask for this PIN.

User Reports (2)
Caller calls saying they are from EE. They are not. This is a scam call to encourage you to give a 4 digit code from EE that enables them to hack your account. They may even send you steal your number by going through SIM porting (PAC code) to enable them to bypass multi factor authentication.
