Notice a missed call from this number. At the exact time of the call I also received a text from o2 giving me a security warning. The next message was with a code I had not requested.

Said they were from O2 offering me a new plan. My phone is due for a change so I carried on with the call. They were immediately asking for bank details so I hung up. Definite scam my phone provider already has my bank details

When I answered I was told it was my 3G provider when I asked what network that was they said 3 (after being told time and again they were 3G) when I said keep guessing the phone call was ended. Clearly a scam to get you to "buy a new plan". Hats off to the guy he guessed right.

As per comments below, got a missed call but called back on my firms landline just in case. Some dodgy robotic squeaky Yank sounding person saying thanks calling we will get to your call soon. Immediately put the phone down.
