Call from 01297740169 at 08.34 hrs. Rang for long time. Was unable to pick up, so rang number. Announcement, woman’s voice American accent. “Please leave your message after the tone or press the pound key”. I regard call as suspicious because: my number is on telephone preference service list the American accent & ‘£ key’ ref I don’t know the number and I give my no. only to close contacts and the call made me concerned enough to try to find out who called.
