Had great fun with "Ryan" (though I found his impression of a South-East Asian accent to be in quite poor taste). He had some non-specific form of energy he wanted to give or possibly sell me (he wouldn't be drawn - he might be a racist but he's one heck of a negotiator). I kept asking if it was fusion, because, scammer or not, can you imagine turning down the offer of (possibly free!) FUSION power? You'd be like the guy who turned Queen down for a record contract. Even if it were a scam: how much money do you have, really? And how high are your energy bills? And how much do you think a fusion reactor costs? Ryan could take evey last penny I have and I'd still be quids-in within 18 months. Ryan wanted to know if I was the owner of my property. I didn't know anyone actually owned property, anymore, but when I put the ideas of property as theft and ownership as an intergenerational strategy to consolidate the power of the elites he asked me if I owned a semi-detached. I felt this was both a non-sequitur and also not really in the spirit of the Lockean debate about ownership upon which we had embarked. So I made him list every kind of home he could power/think of. Then I told him I lived on a houseboat and he hung up. 2/5 stars.
Want to sell solar panels and batteries and save 97% on our electricity bills. We have solar panels, they would not save 97% if the sun went supernova. Lies and deceit, as usual.
