Asked me if I wanted to add another year's warranty to my washing machine as the warranty had expired. (not a clue if it has or not). When I said no thanks the person immediately hung up without trying to persuade me, which made me doubt they were genuine.
Postcode lottery from India....scam !!! Just put the phone down
Received call claiming to be from the Postcode Lottery suggesting I have won a voucher that entitles me to 50% off discount in supermarkets, restaurants, take outs and FREE airline travel and FREE villa for four valid for a year, However I was suspicious when they asked could they have my bank details to send me 1p to prove it was me to enablethem to validate my discoubt. I said I did not have details on me. Meanwhile I have messaged the Postcode lottery to verify. They (above number) will call me again tomorrow when I can provide my bank details. I think not!
Just had “Victor” call with a very thick Indian sounding accent, claiming I had a discount card for supermarkets etc. Started to ask for details- which was odd as postcode lottery would have them? Hung up I’m sure they will try again
silent call number not available on call back
Keeps calling, I ignore, then I ring back and number doesn’t exist.
Definitely Indian/Asian person. Telling me I had won a discount card and free flights. I cut them off as it was obviously a scam.
Under this telephone number - which is not in service when you call them back - claim they are ringing from the Postcode Lottery and that you have won a discount card that you can use at supermarkets and also they have free flights for you too - all they need is you bank details in which to pay one penny to and then they will send the discount card etc - advised if they were calling from the Postcode Lottery they would have my bank details and then scarily they tell me how much my direct debit is for - this makes me now think that Postcode Lottery is not secure.
Claiming to be a lottery postcode but it was an Indian call centre. when i queried what he was saying he rang off.
These people are actually based in India and claiming to be postcode lottery where u have won a voucher that entitles you to 50% off discount in supermarkets, restaurants, take outs and free Virginia airline travel and free villa for a year, However I smelt a rat when they asked could they have my bank details to send me 1p to prove it was me, so I said I would contact postcode lottery myself and as I thought it was indeed a scam please do not be fooled.
Claiming to be a lottery company from Edinburgh but it was an Indian call centre. They got angry when I questioned them and dumped the call.
