Identified themselves as AA, bit not convincing. Refused security questions & hung up.
Seems to be the AA... beem om hold now for 18 minutes.... bored...
Had received text from AA with their phone number and would call me later and said to look out for their call. They called but I missed it. Tried to call but no success. Scam?
Who called me this number?
Somebody pretending to be AA
Persistent!
Caller said they were from the AA. As my renewal was due I didnt know whether they were genuine or not,and was suspicious and therefore worried about giving out my credit card details over the phone. Best to ring them back on a known or advertised number for the AA.
AA... used them for a year, fine. Then got another insurer. They keep on sending letters (that I return as spam so they pay postage back) and still keep emailing, calling... one strong reason to never, ever, contract AA. can't they just focus on do what they are supposed to do well and customers will come to them naturally?
This number came up in a text message on my phone from the AA. I also received a call from them and arranged for the AA to call me the next day at a certain time. They never did. I called the number and it was a recorded message to say this number is not in service. I have made a formal complaint to the AA to investigate. My membership is due for renewal and I am worried in case I had given my credit card details to a scammer. Fortunately I didn't and called the AA n a different number.
Stated to be calling about my AA renewal. I was suspicious and just said already sorted. Blocked number but guess I'll get other calls now,
If you call them back, it cuts off immediately!
The AA called as I had missed a payment but when I cleared security I gave false info and still cleared security, I will now call the AA and inform them to ensure this is a valid call from them and get back to this site to report findings, I hate security questions they are intrusive and easy to guess if you have someone’s details to hand. PS I was today asked to send by email my email address, full name, date of birth and telephone number to clear security from another reputable company, I called them and stated that this is stupid and I would not be replying to their email with the details requested and they did what they needed to do on that phone call. My suggestion to everyone who is concerned about data being misused is to call the company concerned on a known, published and previously used number found by yourself, do not trust calls, emails or any other correspondence that you have not requested or is unsolicited. Be safe and be warned !!
AA - called back re: cancellation of renewal - was expecting call, but forgot. No voicemail left.
the AA, missed call but when I called the robot said it was not urgent and they would call back again.
