The caller purported he was from Windows operating systems saying that was a fault on my computer and when I challenged him he got very rude because I challenged him This isn’t a business and wants stopping him from contacting people
Caller foreign accent claimed to be calling from Microsoft in Oregan. wanted to talk yo the owner of the computer. Our response Goodby!
Caller, foreign accent, asked to speak to someone unknown at this number. I hung up.
Called at 08.15 said he was chadwell or similar couldn’t understand because of accent. Asked to speak to me by name, and said I had overpaid my mortgage, alarm bells hung up obviously some sort of scam.
Started spiel so I became hard of hearing . . . .
Good idea to ring him back . I have just had him call me pretending my computer was compromised so I may just start calling him during the night
I didn't pick up but don't know anyone who lives in Chichester - so this is an unsolicited call.
Some idiot pretending to be working for the government. Absolute lack of scamming experience. If you can, keep him on the line for few minutes so he doesn't take money from vulnerable people
Robotic call, trouble with my internet, press 1 to speak to someone to sort it. Yeah right. I did but got connected to someone else who had pressed 1. Warned her it was a scam, which she had suspected and we both hung up.
said he was windows security i needed to update,i told him windows is usa your an indian so and so then i swore at him and told him he was a crook,he put the phone down, this number has phoned me a few times with various scams about time he was put in prison.
I've had this guy phoning me today going on about upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 at a cost of £199.99 It's a clear scam, trying to get me to download anydesk so he can control my computer.... I'm just going to keep belling his phone out... Leaving voice mails and sending texts... 🤣🤣🤣
CALL THIS NUMBER BACK OVER AND OVER AGAIN, THIS GUY IS A SCAMMER AND WILL USE WINDOWS, AMAZON WHATEVER HE WANTS TO SCAM PENSIONERS. I AM CALING HIM EVERY DAY, WE ARE NOW BEST FRIENDS FOR LIFE. PLEASE JOIN ME. THEY WANT TO WASTE MY TIME SO I WILL WASTE THEIRS. THANKS
Call saying my internet had been compromised, I questioned his parentage.
Phoned saying he was working on behalf of the government and that it was mandatory to have Windows 11 upgraded & would need access to a PC.
Trying to say the Goverment has mandated ALL computers need to be upgraded to Windows 11 and then asking to have access to your pc
Started the call by saying that my Internet had been hacked and that I needed to log on to a computer and he would talk me through what to do. He did not introduce himself or the company he worked for.when asked he stutterd and said he worked for Virgin media but never gave me his name. I ended the call knowing it was a scam, however, it rattled me so I rang back and started asking him questions that he could not answer. He then told me never to ring the number again and hung up on me. I rang back and he started asking me if I had a girlfriend (clearly a mature response) I will continue to ring and give him a taste of his own medicine.
It's about time bt stopped these scammers from using these lines oh but then they won't get all this money from the calls sham on you
Caller stated they were “Amazon” and that a purchase had just been made for over £800. Caller requested that if I did not authorise the purchase to press 1. I’m not that dull. Relevant checks reveal no such transaction took place.
