01241 221509 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

Just had a call from an Asian male stating they were Carphone warehouse. He was pushy and made ridiculous claims he could get me out of my current contract and into a new one at no cost. They are just phishing for bank details. Do not fall for it.

Called me at half past MIDNIGHT! Fortunately my landline has built in call protection, so it screened the call. Didn't even hear the phone ring, but since both my landline and mobile are TPS registered and absolutely no one has my landline number, I know it's just a scam call... If I get these calls from Carphone Whorehouse on my mobile, I just tell em they've called the police and this call is now being traced as they're breaking the law.

Called at 8:00 am in the morning saying they were from BT open reach and my internet was being compromised from overseas people????? Wanted me to log on using my phone and she would show me how to protect my phone. She said she was calling from Newgate street in London. I hung up

Bad line, but after they introduced themselves as from O2 I said you’re not from O2, please don’t call again. They hung up.

Hung up when I answered.

Call from this number yesterday, 12/01/2022, Protection software labelled it "Suspected Scam" so ignored it.

Called my private mobile to try to sell me a mobile phone. Told them I wasn't bothered, asked them to remove my number from the database. They refused. Asked for their Data Protection Officer's details under GDPR. Was told it was 'Company Policy' for those details to be withheld. Asked to speak to their Supervisor who again, tried to sell me a phone. When I told them I wasn't bothered, they asked why I was wasting their colleague's time, to which I replied, that I hadn't called them... asked for the DPO's details again, they hung up. SCAM

I keep getting these Arbroath numbers trying to sell me stuff

carphone warehouse scam. Calling me from numerous numbers today.

Terrible line. Unable to hear what was said and they just ploughed on with whatever they wanted to say without listening. Hung up and blocked.

I never answer numbers i don't recognise.

Awful phone line. It sounded like someone from abroad.

Just silence....

Claimed to be from mobiles . co . uk and was very persistent in trying to get my mobile phone model so that they they could offer me a better deal on a newer phone. I said that I had recently bought a new phone so was not interested but the caller got even more persistent and offered to buy me out of my current contract if I transferred over to them. It felt a bit scammy to me so I declined and ended the call.

Shocking line, sounded like a redirect from India. Said Arbroath Scotland, don't believe a word of it. Trying to sell me a phone. You would think that if they were going to scam you they would at the very least sound a bit genuine.

another one from Carphone Warehouse, said he was "phoning from home" in Arbroath???? Proceeded to quiz him on his location and eventually he hung up
