01234 957996 Neutral Who called me from this phone number?

Got a call from this number. They were silent for 10 seconds despite me saying hello then they hung up.

Ambulance chasers. Decided to have a bit of fun with them, so answered some initial questions about a car accident that I had (not really) about a year ago. Wanted to see how long I could keep them on for so when asked for car registration details I said I had to go and look them out. I put the phone to one side and carried on working a few minutes later I could hear him say 'hello' so I picked up the phone and said 'hang on be with you in a minute'. This happened a couple of times, he wanted to arrange a time to call back but I said 'no hang on nearly there'. I was then going to just hang up or just tell him to FO but decided to give him the registration so I said 'the registration was U-R-A T-W-A-T' as he called it back to me it dawned on him he had been had. I was laughing out loud at the this point. 'Did you like that?' I said. He wasn't impressed. He started calling me lots of names, including an effing c*** which I though was quite impressive for someone whose mother tongue would have been one of the Indian sub continents languages. Someone taught him well. I then reminded him that I made him wait ten minutes for that which seemed to make him more angry and more swearing came my way. My increasing laughter at his expense wasn't helping with his mood. Needless to say he hung up not long after. In summary I can't say I can recommend this firm as I find their telephone staff somewhat unprofessional. AVOID. Or alternatively take the piss out of them like I did.

Originally phoned from 020 3634 9914, when I blocked that number they used 01234 957996. They said they were phoning about my injury - I haven't had one so that was a lie. Told them to stop phoning me they were then rude

these jerks ring me twice a day then hang up..im annoyed cos i like to string along scammers for as long as i can. so i blocked em

I have had 2 calls today from this number (it is a local bedford code). I missed them both and attempted to call back. The second time i called back, i received an "this number is not in service" message in an american accent. This makes me think that i could be dialling out to the USA so maybe that is how this crook gets their money. Wish people would try and make an honest living instead of trying to steal from honest people.

Constant calls from these bounders who should be arrested for breaching our human rights.

Received a call from this number telling me I'd had an accident recently, I asked where he had got his info, he told me their research department had given him the Information well that's news to me the last claim I had was in my company car some seven years ago and that was not even in my name. The accent was Indian sub-continent.

Since having an accident over 3 yrs ago which is all settled and closed still get about 4 calls every day from ambulance chasing scammers both uk and india based this one called me on mobile number which I rejected as not known, then rang my land line!!!! Same number had some person calling themselves Lisa and supposedly representing "Claims Council" or something (very mumbled indian accent) Basically yet another claims scam from india using a uk number to (falsely?) represent a call originating in the uk. Tip - NEVER give your phone numbers to insurance comparison web sites - I am sure this is where they buy the numbers from!

Call from an indian sounding female who said her name was Liza, then a mumbled company name. Asked her to spell the company name for me, then she hung up without another word. :)

Bad number. Illegal lies rude words and abuse.

Non-UK accent scam in Bedford. Says it all.

When noting (on this website) the number, I read the only other previous message, regarding the Bedford (01234) number. I have now 'saved' it as "Colder Caller - Ignore." to go with my other ten or so such numbers. Thanks guys, Keep up the good work (on our behalf!)

Got a 'missed' call yesterday. It is from a Bedford, Bedfordshire area number. Based on Tracey's comment (above) I will save it to my mobile, adding to the others on my mobile. It will be saved under the name "Cold Call-Ignore."
