01229 200032 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

lady claiming to be from british gas, claiming to have a problem with our electricity/gas supply and i needed to confirm the meter number. i said we dont have any gas or electricity here and she then asked if we had any telecommunications needs, i said no, we don't use phones here as they attract nuisance callers and we were far too busy to deal with that. went straight over her head. blocked number

Called telling me that our gas reading was incorrect, a new employee had put the wrong address details in resulting in high meter reading, said he was working on behalf of British Gas (not our provider), then trying to get contract info, directors info, question why requesting this as you told me incorrect reading, you should know my contract info as its in your system, wouldn't take no for an answer, hung up in the end, had three call back immediately from same number

Called to sell me a phone … form curry’s I said as I haven’t bought anything from curry’s since before GDPR they are in violation how did they get my number to which they responded they stole it and are hackers !

Apparently from carphone warehouse offering a ‘good deal’ on an iPhone 13. When asked how they got my number they put the phone down.

Hung up immediately after I answered

Received call from this number 16.33 today. Man in heavy Indian accent said he was calling from Royal Mail and asked me to give him my e-mail address. I was very suspicious and told him that if he was from Royal Mail, he would presumably have my postal address, so I advised him to post me a letter with whatever he wanted to tell me. I then hung up.

Indian or Bangladeshi male. don't know anyone in Barrow so just hung up.

Claimed to be from phones limited! Never heard of them. I put the phone down and blocked

I work in fraud, I immediately asked if this was a call where they send me a device I never asked for and then ask me to forward it on to a random address, the inept creature on the other line then began to splutter and said shut up then hung up, whole office needs lining up and executing, parasites 😁

Umm... I'm not even old enough to drive and I got called. Makes total sense.

Said he's calling from Three, had a new promotion on my account, so I asked him what my name was - he then hung up

Same thing. I gave all my bank details and it got declined. They kept ending the phone on me. Do not give any details to them. I’ve had to call a frauds team. They said that these people use ur bank details with a specific network for example 02. They set up more than one contract with different phones which will be sent to ur house and they’ll promise u the phone once u contact them and say the issue. There are a number of people who scam like this and I suggest u call ur bank if you gave any details.

Called saying they were from car phone warehouse said I was happy as I had just already renewed my contract was told oh don't worry we can cancel your old contract etc somebody will fall for this but seeing this number has said they are from different organisations its an obvious scam outfit so be cautious

claimed to be from Thames Valley Police (in Barrow in Furness??) I gave him some advice on how to see his insides from the outside; he put the phone down

The caller claims to be from Carphone warehouse ( a brand that no longer exists) and to have got my number from all the networks. He hangs up when I ask to speak to his supervisor
