I have call screening and have had two numbers almost identical try calling this morning but neither left a name. This leads me to believe it’s spam or scam. Either way they are blocked

Man spoke with a very South Asia accent and spoke very quickly. Told me he wanted to correct our electricity bill. He couldn't tell me what my account number was, just my MPAN number (which is sadly publicly available from National Grid). He tries to sound convincing but is 100% a scam.

0121 512 2650, the cal sounded like it was from outside UK, with a delay and echo on the line. The person called me by name and said he was from Utility Warehouse. I said Ive never hear of you, this must be Sacm, then the phone went quiet

Phone rang a few times but no response when I answered

Said she was called Jackie and asked if I was the home owner, I said no there was a couple of seconds silence and the phone was put down. Weirdly some one called Jackie rang last week, said exactly the same and put phone down. Didn't say what she wanted either time.

Silent call then hung up after I said Hello twice.

0121 512 2266 called me today, my phone showed suspected spam, so I didn't answer not that I would have anyway as unknown number, I've marked this as unknown, number now blocked.

Claimed to be from Vodafone, asked how much I was paying per month. Said he’d reduce my bills, wanted me to confirm my details. He was very keen to get my personal details. I explained my service was poor, I didn’t wish a discount as I was leaving. Claimed he’d send a technician out tomorrow. So unrealistic, when would you get a technician to call that promptly? I said I was working, I’d have to get day off, I’d phone him Back….He provided a mobile number 07454740050, he refused to provide an email. Not sure what the scam is, he said his name was Brian Wilson, he was vague about what service I was getting from Vodafone. I was suspicious, certainly not a legitimate call! Spoke with an accent, perhaps Indian?

SCAM- Call showing as Birmingham and when answered, ask if I had any mould or damp in my house, claimed to be from a housing department. Didn’t speak and they ended the call
