01208 247036 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

I keep getting theses unwanted calls from Al around the country why ???? Sick off them ???

This number was trying to fone me for about 5 days when i answered it was an asian or similar accent man. Claimed to be Virgin media and said problems with my internet and that someone was trying to get into my IP address. He ask me to confirm my IP I said i would get in touch with Virgin he started to stammer a bit I hung up and reported it to Virgin who are looking into it.

said its from Virgin Media

Said they were from virgin media and people were hacking my internet. Wanted me to turn my laptop on. I told them they were scamming me and hung up

Called twice today, claiming to be from Virgin Media and that my internet connection was being hacked. Wanted to get me to lookup my IP address so he could connect to my device to fix the security issue. Obviously not from Virgin Media.

Some chap with clear Indian origin accent claimed to be from BT Openreach and requested remote access to reconfigure our Router following "Echange changes that will slow down the Broadband". Cleary a hacker and extremely dangerous call. Naturally ended the call. I called back to the number the call originated from and some other Indian sounding fella saif they were Virgin Media and not BT Openreach. Avoid like the plague and shut down this number if possible.

Foreign man claiming to be from virgin media, called me repeatedly. I advised them to find a hole and to bury themselves in it. Haven't heard back since.

"indian-sounding" male claiming to represent VirginMedia. We hung up before they could threaten to cut off our line if we didn't pay them, but pretty sure it's the standard scam

Called saying from virgin media. Saying lots of people connected to our internet. Asked us to turn off all lap tops then put on one at a time we hung up

Asian bloke said he was from virgin saying people outside my house were using my Internet. I said there's 2 blokes in a van just parked up outside shall I go and tell them to stop using my Internet. He hung up

Some weird time waster who kept saying "hello" repeatedly

Man with very strong south Asian accent purporting to be from Virgin Media and that there was a security issue with our router. I reported it immediately to action fraud.

Claimed to be Virgin and that my broadband was showing a lot of people trying to use it. Told me to turn on my computer so that he could sort it out . I then discontinued the call.

Hung Up as soon as I asked if it was the hospital as waiting for a call. Obviously the caller had one speck of humanity left. 100% spam and possible dangerous call. Avoid.

Purporting to be virgin media

they rung today, I did not answer as I have answerphone : they did not leave message so assumed was not genuine I was right and checked online and see that is a scam as reported. actually answerphone is a good system to avoid scammers /unknown callers /unwanted calls.

I didn’t get to it before my answerphone clicked on. Assume from other comments a scam. Will report to Virgin media if they call back

Called me twice in the last hour, Area Code is Bodmin, Cornwall. I know no-one in Bodmin that would call me on a Saturday afternoon. Each time I picked up but stayed silent - they hung up after a few seconds. This is a new line I've only had for a month and nobody has the number as we never use landlines (I accepted it as part of a package). Having read other comments about this number I'm waiting for another call so I can wind them up, love a bit of criminal baiting!

Lady with South East Asian accent claiming to be from Virgin Media asking for my account details because she said my internet connection would be cut off within 2 hours, which of course it wasn’t. Usual scam
