Unknown number rang so trying a new tack, ignore it, if it’s important they will leave a message. They didn’t. I don’t answer unknown numbers as now they can record your voice for future scams. Who-called-me.co.uk reports it’s a “local energy advisor” scam. Bolton is not local to me. TPS only works with trustworthy people who observe the rules. DON’T INTERACT, TELL THEM NOTHING

Pushing for a 'loft insulation survey'. Not respecting Telephone Preference Service registration. Very pushy and not listening. Service offered was unnecessary for my circumstances. The guy kept pushing and assuming the sale even when told that is was not needed and later, in no uncertain terms unwelcome. Sales pitch was all about condensation being caused by loft insulation (no mention of poor ventilation being the cause which perhaps comes later when they recommend replacing vents or the entire roof). Very keen to find out my age with a focus on over 50s. Perhaps they prefer customers who are trusting, too old to climb into the loft or know little about building?
