Claimed to be Carphone Warehouse but not convinced
they just hang up when I answer this can happen when criminals use computers to multi dial
Called claiming to be from EE couldn’t understand a single thing they said in a thick Indian accent and offered me an iPhone 13 on £35 a month told them no and then they mumbled something and said ok never mind … Pretty strange bloke pretty sure he didn’t work for EE either
Rang said was from O2 offering 1/2 price tarif if been selected. Need a code to get the offer that would send to my phone. I said I could do it now and they put the phone down. A male saying he’s called max with a strong Indian accent.
I have recently been scammed and now I am unsure if I am going to be targeted . This was a call that just rang but didn’t connect
Call from '0118 311 1029, Reading, England', long connect time, Female with strong Indian accent introduces herself and asks what phone am I using and is it an iphone, I said 'Who are you? From where?' Finally got it as 'Kate Williams from Phone Warehouse'. Sounded wrong and fraudulent. Did I want a free phone upgrade? No, not really. 'Do you want this deal or not?' , 'No', 'Why not?', 'I don't trust it, there isn't a company called Phone Warehouse', 'Google it' . Enough lies already, I hung up.
Said Carphone Warehouse then told me to f*** off when asked to remove from records
Claim to be Carphone Warehouse, but not very bright. Asked to be removed from list and said they would call again tomorrow. Can't be genuine with such poor customer service, so probaly spammers, fraud.
Phoned me, a missed call. If it's important they'll phone back!
