a random one of my twitter followers messages me with evidence that an account was impersonating me and sending virus links. i panicked bc i had no idea but its part of the scam - they even provided fake evidence. I was told to message some other twitter support person and they asked me for my personal details or else id face criminal charges because the person who impersonated me apparently extorted $4000. The conversation moved to discord where they posed as twitter support and told me the conversation was being recorded and asked to screenshare my bank information which i did (autistic - i didnt know!) and i realised when they asked for money it was a scammer. i had to cancel my bank card i am so freaked out bc they know my personal email and phone number.
