Got a text saying 'dad save my new number'...ive no children and this is clearly a scam to target vulnerable people as seen by other reviews

I got text off them saying hi mum this is my new number (text on 07516992734), l rang my children none of them had changed their number then they text they needed a favour...l abruptly text them were to go..they never replied and l blocked them..this has happened 3 times now different numbers..
