Same for me yesterday..he come s from Belgium and needs money for fuel and ferry to get to Ireland..John Donnagh..i thought i was helping a family to get back home and i handed him 250£..i hope he will get stopped at one point as plays on people s sensitivity

He's currently in Cannock just south of Stafford pulling the same scam, unfortunately to success. the same applies as above. he's got paperwork etc and a child in tow for leverage to back up identity. be wary he's very convincing and practiced at the act.

He got me this morning, Stafford Services, M6, 28/04/21. £90 gone. I thought I asked all the right questions - he had an answer for everything. I have a photo of him and his car. Hopefully we'll meet again...

Same guy is at it on the M6 27.04.21 £70 down the drain and my morals seriously questioned (what a fool I am)

Yeah very much a scam, I fell for the exact same thing that has been described here, He was actually with children and a lady was with him as well, conned me out £250 I thought I was helping someone out in a bind but felt to search the number after the radio silence and unfortunately far too late these stories all describe exactly what he did. Live and learn I guess Going to try report to Vodafone as they run this number but hopefully he gets stopped soon as it's not just the people he's scamming out of money, but it's also the skeptics he's creating after the fact that might not help anyone in such a situation again

He was working Warwick North services yesterday. I "fell for it" in that I gave him money, even though I was 99% sure it was a scam. He calls you to give his number, says he will repay you tomorrow when he gets home.

Irish guy going by the name of John, scammed me out of money in Hopwood Park Motorway Service Area, driving a Silver Vauxhall Insignia registration KY65 CKJ.

Yep, scammed me out of money for petrol using his kids as emotional leverage. His car license number is KY65CKJ - a silver Vaukhal Isignia 2015

Do not trust this guy, he is a con artist. Irish, my Irish friends would be really upset. Swears on his kids lives, his mothers. Do not trust him. Calls himself John.
