They said they were from 'The EE', I asked if they meant 'EE' then they explained they are from Vodafone and it was 'VD' Network. Wanted to offer a reduction in my Vodafone bill and asked me to confirm my details. Of course I didn't and asked them to confirm what details they had for me as they had my 'latest bill'. That is really clever as I am not on Vodafone, but continued to see how far they would go. I asked them to confirm my name, they just said 'you are not the bill payer' then hung up. I tried to call the number back (withholding my number of course) but went to a mailbox which then said was full. (I wonder why!). Anyway, an outright scam, please don't give any details to cold callers.
second time in 2 days, offering 30 to 40% discount on my EE contrat. this is a scam
Scam call centre pretending to be EE offering ridiculous discount.
Random caller, I didnt pick up but had no reason to call me.
They pretend to be from your mobile network, Indian or Pakistani male asking for banking information and telling me that he knew where I lived. Be very careful, god knows where they’ve obtained details from.
Claimed to be from EE, offering a discount. Then wanted to know what my last bill was. I said he should know that. He said he would prove he was from EE by sending me a text. I said I would believe him if he was able to send me an email containing my full name and account number. He then asked for my email address and wouldn't accept that if he was genuine he would know it. Kept talking over me so I hung up. (I'm not an EE customer)
Said they were EE offering me senior citizen's discount on my existing contract. Told them I had to go out and hung. Question to ask next time they use same number: If you're from EE, why are you using a Vodafone mobile number. Numpties!
Told me it was 3, my sim was being disconnected as its not 5g compatible with phone. Had a blazing row with them. I told them, i could say im santa clause over the phone. Doesnt mean anything. Rang back on a landline, came up potential fraud warning.i aint clicking no links
Claiming to be from EE and offering a reduction in my monthly bill. Then went on to ask what my monthly bill was! No security questions to confirm ID. Definitely a scam of some kind.
Think I was on three network but just told her do research before calling and hang up on her
