Caller said they were calling from Vodafone, but was unable to hear most of the conversation, due to a bad connection. After call, I called Vodafone and they did not recognise the number, so I have now blocked it! Beware of this #: 03457404401!!
Phoned my 84 year old parent today Christmas Eve claiming to be HSBC bank that card had been hacked in liverpool area and £500 has been taken out. Really stressered my dad and upset him. He phoned me and i realised it was a scammer thank goodness. HSBC Fraud line is 03457404404 not this number . This is a SCAM
Sent me a texted messages to say they want to talk about my money request from HSBC Avoid
claimed to be hsbc, asked me to transfer money
Called me this morning to say something about a suspicious transaction from an iPhone, I said I'm not falling for this and put the phone down, they called me again from a different number 0800 917 9170 saying it really was Santander and I gave them holy hell saying they should be ashamed of themselves and about karma not giving them a chance to speak after and put the phone down. Phoned the first number back (I like to get revenge with a hand pump air horn as it's not the first time this has happened) number not recognised second number tho put me through to a Santander automated answerphone which made me think oh sh*t I've been really horrible to someone innocent so phoned Santander but they confirmed no suspicious activity is on my account and both numbers are not from them the automated answer is fake too. It's scarey how crafty they are becoming and it makes my blood boil that they're able to prey on vulnerable people scaring them into giving all they're details without any conscience.
