Called claiming to be from a housing association to help me with my housing problem. Refused to tell me who she thought I was or where sh had got my number. Told her I owned my own house and she hung up. No apology. I have now blocked the number.
just called me she said is Sarah from House something and as I said my problem she said thank you and hung me up. probs scam
I was called by this number at 12:15pm on 17th Jan 2024. It was a man claiming to be a housing officer, saying "I'm here to ask you about the problems in your house" I said "what problems? I don't own a house" He said, the mould and damp in the house in which you're a tenant. I've never reported any mould and damp, and I'm a lodger who lives with a very good landlord. Sounds like a group of people banking on the fact that a lot of people live with damp issues, especially those in lower income backgrounds in order to steal information. He did not have any details other than my phone number.
She ask about housing problem, I think is spm
Called to my mobile. Told me she was calling about my housing problem. When I asked what problem, she asked if I had damp or cracks in any walls. I told her no and asked how she got my number. She hung up as I was asking!!
Housing team, saying I have housing problem's. Advised her that she called the wrong number and she cut me of.
Claimed to be from housing association asking if I had damp or cracks in wall. Hung up when I told her twice she must have wrong number as I own house
Didn't answer as phone flagged it as potential spam - no follow up
Female called mobile asking about damp in bedroom and housing association benefits. None of the above applies, asked her if she had correct number she said yes (impossible), so therefore a scam in the same vein as the old 'Have you had an accident etc etc'... I thought these calls were now illegal? (cold calling).
It said it was about housing but sounded like a woman automated response call. Didn’t trust it as it didn’t sound like a real person.
Didn't leave a voicemail so can't be that important - blocked none the less
