This is a sophisticated FRAUD. They sent a text labelled LLOYDS stating fraud was happening on my account. But they were the scammers. If you call the number it sounds like Lloyds Bank. They had my address, mothers maiden name and obviously my mobile. They asked lots of questions but the idea is to wear you down. “Yes it’s someone in Aberdeen logging into your account. What’s your account number? I’ll put you on hold. I’ve sent you a passcode, read it out. It’s for security. “ on and on it went and they were building up it to get me to give more information. All very plausible in the heat of the moment but a sad, pathetic guy who has failed in life and tries to empty the accounts of hard working, honest people.
