Cold caller, claimed to be from a Smart meter installation company, which could be genuine as we're due to have one fitted. This unsolicited caller then asked for my details, claiming it was needed "for GDPR" . Er, no, that's how identity theft works, not how GDPR works. A cold caller needs to establish their bona fides with me, not the other way round. Caller terminated call when I, (wanting to protect my personal data i.e. being GDPR compliant) wouldn't give him my details.

Said he was from a smart meter installation - and I have one due to be installed, but all he had was my name and phone number, got the installation date wrong and then started to ask for my full details - Full Name, full address I declined to give them and he said "Oh , thanks" and hung up Its not the number on any of the emails i've received about the installation, so not sure if this is real or not
