023 9298 2359 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

I never answer calls when I don't know who they are but always check the number on here. Nearly 3 years on from the first post about this number I received a call shortly after ordering from Currys. So obviously this a long-standing issue. IF this is not Currys themselves then they have a serious security breach. If it is them then this is is bad business practice. I will think twice about ordering from them again if this is how they operate.

Someone claiming to be from Currys trying to upsell me into buying a car plan. Called me twice the day after ordering a product (missed the call the first time). Knew my name and what I ordered. Either scummy sales tactics confirm why I usually avoid them as a brand, or a scammer and in that case a serious data breach.

Bought something from curry’s, however I never answered because 0800 numbers are generally scams or companies, was called 4 times through the week, in the end I blocked the number.

Received multiple calls from this no. And did not answer thanks to this page. Have just ordered item from curry’s. Is worrying how they have got information.

it's a scam only question is how they got my number and how did curry's give it do they pass my number onto scammers...

Currys. Don't worry, It's legit :) If you don't answer they'll call again from the same number.

Called me 20 hours after I ordered the item on Currys website and asked about 4 hour delivery window. My delivery is free and have no window but all day long. When I asked what window, the caller hung up. Why Currys is giving the information about the orders to third person?

Currys scam. AVOID. Call operator claimed to be Currys and asked for information. When I called Currys afterwards the call operator told me there was no record of a call on my order account. Currys call operator assured me the scammers cannot access bank account information, although they were no help.

Supposedly Currys who called me and they had all sorts of details about me & my order etc. I made sure I gave the no personal information cause it seemed very sus. I called Currys (though the website) to speak with them to see if it was legit. The gentleman I spoke to wasn't sure about the number and confirmed they wouldn't call a customer to ask the questions that I had been asked. Have asked that it be looked into by them because if feels like a breach of my data if it wasn't Currys who called me and if it was they should make themselves appear less like scammers. He confirmed he would pass it over but no guarantees I would ever hear back.

Called saying they were from curry’s asking whether we have had our 4 hour delivery a slot txt information through yet. They seemed to know everything about what we had purchased then tried to sell us some form of insurance policy, when I said no thanks they just hung up without a word!

Caller stating they were from Curry's and wanting details to confirm who I was and details about my purchase order, I did not share my information and asked them lots of questions about why they wanted the details and they hung up. Shame this number is still in use and that after 2 years nothing has been done about it

called on my mobile, only rang 3 times then cut off.

Someone called saying they’re from curry’s but then tried to sell me insurance for my purchase which I’d already purchased and tried to sell more expensive option, hung up when I said no.

Seems to be Currys - missed call, called them back, stated they were Currys and no need to contact them as they will reach out at a different time (automated response).

Had 2 calls today but didn't answer it. I have just recently bought a washing machine from Currys awaiting delivery. I am going to call currys as I am not happy about someone having my details.

I've had 4 calls from this number over the last few days. No idea who they are

02392982359 Called from currys knew I had purchased an item, however tried to get me to check the warranty details to pay over the phone.. no thanks. I have done that. Told him I was busy and that was it. He kept using my name.. I guess to reassure me. But I'm super vigilant about things like this.

Apparently from Curry's PC World, they requested my details (First name, Address and postcode and phone number) which I somewhat stupidly gave as they seemed to know exactly what I had ordered and when it was delivered. Googled the phone number when they put me on hold as they were trying to sell me a care and repair scheme I had already purchased and immediately hung up + blocked.

I received a call from this number yesterday. The man claimed to be from Curry's PC World and tried to sell me an extended warranty on a new laptop I'd just bought the day before. I just told him I didn't have time and to call me next week. The number has now been blocked and reported to Curry's PC World. Nevertheless I'd still like to know how he knew....

Caller said he was from Currys, seemed to know I had ordered an item and wanted my details to verify this. I refused as it all seemed a bit dodgy, he said that I should call or go into Currys to verify my details. - What really annoys me is where he gets his info from and why this number is allowed to stay in use...

Message from Curry's PC World apparently? When I questioned what information they needed to confirm 'who they were speaking to'.. the caller hung up?

This number called me today (27/05/2021) stating they were from Curry’s PC World and asked me to confirm a few details. I suggested that I would not be providing my details and I phoned curry’s directly on the phone number on their website. I was told there was no problem with my order and no phone call should have been warranted.
