Claimed to be from O2 and to be able to reduce my bill. VERY poor english, I could barely understand him. He sent me a 'code' and kept saying to confirm that it was in my inbox.... I hung up after that
I've had calls from this number on three consecutive days, but have missed them all as I don't have my mobile with me for much of the time. Near Salisbury
Some Asian guy called and claimed that they were from o2. Seemed genuine apart from the spam warning that came up by the phone number. He asked me if I was happy with dmy service from o2, so I told him that I was not, and that since my dog ate my penis life has been very hard but not in any good way. He kept his composure and Offered to give me a discount if I can tell them the 6 digit number on the second text message. So I gave him the number 69 69 69 and he replied that it was not the correct number. I explained that due to my chronic laxative abuse I struggled to read codes and will have another go, and gave the code 96 96 96. He again said the code didn't work and to try again. So i told him that I was dyslexic and had difficulty with numbers, and may have to have many more attempts at giving the code before I get it right. Then said I have a bathroom emergency to attend to and hung up. The guy rang me back and was hung up on then blocked. He is committed and seems genuine apart from being an absolute tosser. SCAMMER BEWARE!
Got a text from my sim provider saying I’d requested a 1 time code, instantly got a call off this number, didn’t answer, guessing they’re trying to get into my account..
Polite lady said she was “Calling from O2” so I hung up as I’m not an O2 customer.
Was he Indian? The tolerance of the government to these companies is extremely frustrating. And I mean THEIR government. Of course, they bring money into their country.
Called me two times because my hanging off the first time was not enough. Both Indians with hard accents and very rude behaviour. The first time, because of his accents I couldn't understand what he was telling me(about where he is calling me from) and I told him that I dont understand. He got angry and a bit rude, so I hanged off. The second time was an Indian lady again with very strong accent, which I imideately hang off. It's not very frustrating that they are calling me in the first place but having that attidute as well, us fucking stu*I'd.
Called and spoke very quickly in poor English. Claimed his name was Ben and he was calling from EE. Immediately put the phone down as this is the third call I’ve received this week
Called to say they were from O2. Definitely a scam. Block
Indian guy, poor english, said he was Mike from O2. I didnt speak at all. I just listened and could hear several others in the background saying, 'hi I'm Mike from O2'. Total scammers.
Rang saying they were from O2 - a scam!! Quite scary considering this is a new number for me and I don’t even know how they got ahold of it.
Called, but too much noise in background, so couldn't have any fun with them..
Called to say they were from O2, my network provider. Indian voice. I said ' No your'e not' and they immediately rang off. Be aware.
Suspicious that I have received 2 calls on the day I switched to O2. The subject was generic and asked me to disable further calls by dialling 901 press * and then option 5 and option 5
Scammer claimed to be calling from O2 my network provider but they are not my provider.
I had 1 just new. I had a great time wasting his time. He was from o2 (being an tesco sim) he was going on about a text code being sent to me and I kept saying I don’t have the message fml 😂
said from EE, told to get a proper job and go away, 1045 27/06/23
lady from EE promotions offering 40% discount on mobile for loyal customers, She asked me how much my monthly payment is, I said if she had my details she would know how much I am paying, to which she said she has all my details on their systems. I told her to apply the discount, she hung up, I'm not with EE !
Called claiming to be from EE, I’m not with them and ended it.
Answered but nobody there and found it very unsettling.
Got a call from this number about 30 minuets ago. I do not answer call that are unrecognizable as my voicemail message stipulates. But didn't leave a message now blocked.
foreign gentleman said his name was Colin - told me I needed to take out new phone contract as my current firm were going out of business - my son says it was a sham call and to hang up when they phone back
It's a scam - O2 customers can report by texting the number to 7726
Pretend to be from 02 and offer 40% off my bills and Apple Watch. I’m obviously gullible and gave the one time passcode like a fool. Taking ages to secure my account. If it’s too good to be true it’s probably is. Phoned back to give them a piece of my mind 🤬
Because of poor line and limited English of caller ,hard to get whole gist.Something about EE and thats's about all I got.Obvious scam
They called me saying From EE and I am eligible for 40% discounts as I am loyal customer First minute I believed him as I told him what do I have to do to get discounts he told me I have to verify something then I knew it’s Scam and hanged up just be careful guy they are scammer trying to rob people God bless all
Obvious scam. Sounds like from an Indian call centre. Couldn’t give me any details about my own mobile phone contract that they were purporting to be from.
Indian voice. Delay on pickup of the call [a dead give away that from a calling centre]. Very poor english. Had chosen what he thinks is a really convincing English name [Harry] - yeah, right, that's obviously your real name. Phoning from "Carphone in the Warehouse". FFS, these maggots can't even get the name right. If nothing else, it gave me a laugh as I disconnected and blocked the [probably spoofed] UK number. Scammer score - 1/10 [for making me laugh at his sheer incompetence].
As its my work phone I answer every call. Answered to this number but it immediately hung up... second call I have had do this to me today. I wish I could be removed from whatever list I am clearly on
Supposedly from O2 offering me 50% off my tariff... call blocked. 02045996879
Same ass as others. Just had a call saying from 02. Out the phone down as soon as I said I am not with them.
Difficult to understand accent but when I asked for her to repeat company name she rang off
Claimed they were from EE, offering me a discount on my monthly bill because I'd been such a loyal customer... I told them that I didn't believe that was a real offer and he told me multiple times to "Go to the Hell. I hope your family go to the Hell." Told him he's terrible at this scamming business lol.
Said he was Nelson but didn't understand who he was calling for. Looking at these comments probably said O2. When I asked who? for the 3rd time he hung up on me. How rude!!
I di answer not answer. I like most people do not answer unknown numbers
Received a OTC from my network provider then this number called twice - probably to get the code and gain access to my account. Reported to network provider.
Pretends to be from O2 or EE, asked for details and will then ask to read out OTP to get access of O2 or EE account to make fraudulent purchases on your name.
Asian accent, claiming to be from O2. Didn't get beyond me saying I have no connection with O2, thanks, goodbye. Not the first time, very obvious scamming.
Someone called "Lee" was claiming to give me £50 discount (its gone up from £40 a few weeks ago) on my o2 bill. I'm not on o2. To get this wonderful offer all i had to do was "Confirm my account and sort code" because apparently I'm thick as pig muck... So i called "Lee" out on this and asked him if he thought i was born yesterday or came down in the last shower. Lee didn't like me calling him a moron or to go away and enjoy some self love, so he resorted to calling me a mother lover and hung up. I'm not sure Lee is having a good day
said they were from O2 calling about high levels of complaints for poor service so wanted to compensate me if I could provide banking details - told her I wasn't an O2 customer and she hung up.
answered but didnt speak (i never speak first to unknown numbers) and they hung up. Scam.
Scam! As soon as I asked to prove they were from EE they turned funny “oh my godddd” definitely a scam
Claiming to be from EE , surprised it’s a London number as I could only just about understand her Asian accent.
Scammer don't waste your time and energy go and do some work for the income we work hard for the money you want to get for free.
Rang and his English was very poor, said he represented O2 and that's where I told him to get off.
Called me and they offer new Iphone 14 Pro max and very cheap and look like big scammer
Said he called for EE and wanted to reduce my bills by 40% but didn’t know how much I paid already. Asked for my name and hung up.
Called saying from EE with discount, I said apply the discount then, he said his name was Edward and he needed my details, I said if you're from EE you will be looking at my details you just called me!! On that I hung up and blocked the number, scam.
ive just had the same call, when i asked them what network they were from they paused, i asked them to tell me my name and post code etc but they could not, said they had all the details. They wanted me to tell them the 6 digit pin i was going to get via text and i mentioned PII and they rang off. The 6 digit pin allows them to access my account and commit fraud
Claiming to be from O2, was going to save me 40% on my bill as loyalty discount, requested a security number texted to me from o2, and it stated not to divulge it it to anyone not even a member of O2 staff and hang up immediately
Definitely scam. I normally take the piss out of scammers while they're trying to scam me..... he did not like this. He hung up. Claimed to be from 02....
Claimed to be from O2. Wanted the code to unlock my account. It is a scam. I nearly got done. They will unlock your account then order a new handset for themselves using your bank details. Don’t give them any information.
Said he was from O2. I asked why O2 would call me and he hung up.
Just had a call said they were from 3. Said wasn't inty and put phone down
Said was from o2 could not tell me any of my details and called her out and then she started insulting me had a laugh
Same as everyone else . Scammer offering 40% discount on sim card
Same thing, claiming to be from EE about updating my monthly plan. I am not a EE customer.
Told him im in jail and cant speak or they will find my phone
Claim to be from O2. Just the usual scammer trying to get your personal and payment details.
Claimed to be from EE with an offer for customers with a good billing history. I opened my account less than a month ago!
Called advertising 30% off auto communications. Pretty sure it was a scam
Called to say they were from EE. Rang off when I questioned who they were. Definitely a scam!
He said he’s from O2 and can reduce my bills. I would not need to give any money or bank details. I said sounds too good to be true, but sure. Let’s do it. All I need before I move forward is for you to tell me my first name. He couldn’t. I politely asked him to take me off whatever list I’m on but beware. He sounded so genuine. They’re good
He goes like: "Sir, I'm calling from your sim card provider" offering some discount on god knows what. Had to ask him 3 times which company is he calling from, to then try his luck with O2. It became very apparent that it's a scam
Called saying they were from EE. I pointed out I was not an EE customer and then they rang off immediately.
