Yes..emailed me too..re £909 iPad and to call this number if I want it stopped Forwarded it to eBay spoofs.
Got an email about a laptop I had ordered, supposedly, from ebay inc (not ebay.co.uk as it would be for a UK purchaser). Clearly a scam by an ignorant scammer. The covering email was dreadful ( wording and spelling mistakes) and the order contained obvious spelling/wording mistakes. Do NOT interact!
Email received this morning from a ficticious -looking address, about a purchase I'm supposed to have made on ebay. Told me to call the quoted number if unauthorised. I replied with "Go away scammer" which in my experience usually foxes them.
Same scam as other comments, Ipad allegedly purchased through Ebay, ring this number if was not me. Ignore and delete email, do not call.
Scam perporting to come from Ebay for iPad purchase. I think this is the same or similar scam that was highlighted by Rav Wilding on Morning Live on Tuesday?
I received a similar email this morning, referring to an alleged payment to eBay of £1,349.21 for an iPhone, which I knew was total rubbish. This number (02045929788) was included, with the advice to "call it now", if I had not authorised the transaction. The email was very obviously fake, as apart from anything else, it wasn't addressed to me by name and contained noticeable spelling and syntax mistakes.
Scam Email to iPhone stating that an iPhone 14 Pro Max had been purchased from eBay requesting to contact 020 4592 9788 if I hadn’t authorised this transaction. Checked eBay account, no such purchase listed, definitely a scam.
Email saying I've purchased iPhone for over £1300 and to call this number if I want to dispute the purchase!! This email is not even linked to ebay account and nothing has left bank or showing as purchased on eBay. This is SCAM!
Same scam email for an iPad I had not purchased via eBay was also sent to me at 8.50am today.
Got a message saying I’d purchased an IPhone 14 Pro and to call the number to confirm or dispute. Nothing on my eBay account.
Number appeared on a scam email purporting to be an Ebay purchase. Looked quite authentic - but key details missing. Suggesting that if I had not made the purchase, I should call the number. I had not made any purchase; no money had left my account; no transaction appeared on my Ebay account. SCAM! Avoid.

They were calling at 2am in the morning
This appears to be a DWP number, but I would still check my Universal Credit journal or use official contact details...
