Pretended they were O2 and that they were going to offer me a discount. My phone is no longer with O2 so they must be running off an old database to scam O2 customers. Hung up when challenged.

This is a scam. I was called and advised it was Curry’s / PC World offering me a very good upgrade on my phone. They took my email address and sent me the details. They then advised they would phone me back. I called Curry’s and they advised that they are not currently calling customers to offer upgrades and if they were they would identify themselves as Carphone Warehouse. Do not trust this number.
