020 3773 6751 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

Called me today saying they're from Smart Mobile to discuss my O2 contract. Asked for me by name when I said who's calling he said his name was Sam. I just said no thanks and disconnected the call.

Company called smart mobile, impossible to Google due to the name (clever). Knows exactly when my phone is due for renewal. Gave me some spiel about working with 02 as they don’t want to have to do the work themselves. They’re blatantly not doing it for free so not sure if it works out more or less then going to o2 direct would be at this point as my contract hasn’t ended yet but quite a pushy salesman.

This is a company called White Tiger Limited but they'll use the name Smart Mobile when they call you. They essentially have limited data about you (name, address) which is available publicly. They will try to get you to confirm when your phone contract is up so they can propose a new contract for you and take a commission. Not necessarily a scam, but definitely unethical. The company director is Azhar Mahmood of 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, United Kingdom, WC1N 3AX.

Male voice: "May I speak to ... (he knew my first name) ? Me: "Who's this?" Call went dead, immediately. Given the other two comments, plus 800+ searches on this number ... I guess he has my details but got put off by my firm and instant response, choosing to move straight to his next potential victim. Nasty, and easy to fall for.

Said he was calling from 02 wanted bank details didn't give him any but he knew my name address date of birth.

Pretty sure this is fraud. They rang and had loads of my details and read them back to me so believed it was O2. They've likely knicked my phone number to reroute messages. Then will likely use forgot password, send my mobile a code and get into my accounts that way...
