01970 607669 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

Just had a call from someone claiming to be from the 'State Protection Service' on 01970607669 and a man claiming he was calling due to changes in Government Legislation, as he was giving his spiel i googled the phone number and judging by the hundreds of searches for the number and amount of comments since the calls started on the 1st August 2022 i'm guessing it's the start of yet another scam campaign so beware people.

Phone call this morning but assumed it was a scam! Aberdeenshire

Same as above, a young man saying he was from State Protection Services and ringing everyone in the country about government changes announced yesterday.... he hung up when I asked if this was Russia.

Male claiming he was calling due to changes in Government Legislation...stopped him there and terminated the call.

Like the other comments, a man with a very authoritive voice called to talk about future care home fees and did I have anything in place to protect my home. I said yes I have and ended the call.

Line closed before I answered it.

Never answer numbers I don't recognize😖 if they are genuine they should leave a message

Did not give man chance to start his spiel. Said how did he get my number as on TPS he hung up

Said he was from the government and said he was ringing due to changes.

'State Protection Service' - really? Obviously some sort of a scam - asked how he obtained my ex directory phone number and he hung up.

Didn't catch the name of the firm he was calling from but he started talking about people having to sell their houses because of the current financial situation. I put the phone down - obviously a scam!

Call from a young man who said he was from ‘State Protection Service’ and started asking questions about whether I had plans in place to protect the equity in my home against care home fees, I asked for the company's full address so I could check the company out, he said it was based in London. I asked again for the FULL ADDRESS and he ended the phone call ??

Probably a scam.....no-one on the other end...not even a heavy breather!!!!

"State Protection" wanting to protect the value of my house from the unidentified "state" if l am shipped off to a care home in my dotage. Had to tell him l was not inerested twice to convince him.

BS about protecting home etc from Inheritance Tax (or similar) Reported to ICO. I am now invoking Karma..... The guy will need many blue pills - but they won't work!
