Male (Sounded Asian) rang. Very unclear voice but managed to catch 'Shell Energy'. I had to keep asking him to repeat as I couldn't understand what he was saying and eventually asked him to call back the next day - so far I've had no call. I wasn't expecting a call nor had I made any request for ie a Meter to be fitted.
Claimed to be from Shell energy calling to book my smart meter installation. I hadn't asked for one so asked for the installation address - he just said "residential" so I ended the call. Either a con or really poor marketing from Shell.
No one spoke when I answered the call
I was suspicious about this call so I phoned shell directly and they confirmed that the call was made by them and that I had indeed booked my smart meter installation
Seemed pretty fishy - asked me for dates of birth - i rather doubt its Shell
